Dr. Karen Holmes is the best vet anyone could hope for. She’s not only knowledgeable but also truly compassionate towards all of her clients. She has a true love for animals.
IN RESPONSE TO THE OWNDER:
I called this office to confirm that they carried a specific brand of a vaccination. I was told yes but they only had one left. I said great let’s make an appointment. I asked what would happen if another animal needed this vaccination before our appointment. She said not to worry that they would keep it aside specifically for us and that a new batch was going to be ordered for anyone else who may need it.
The discussion I had with the doctor was concerning the possibility of having the vaccine administered in the tail and at no point was it stated that the vaccine was not going to be ordered. I was told on more than one occasions after the discussion with the doctor that it had been reordered. I was also unaware that requesting a reschedule for an appointment was the same as cancelling. I really wish there was a way to upload the voicemail message left on my phone the night before the appointment because at no point did you say that you had used it on another animal what it said was that it was missing and that you had looked everywhere and could not find it.
I bring my dog and three cats here and have been so happy with the service! Dr. Holmes and Dr. Fiske and all of the techs are so wonderful with my animals (during visits for two of my cats, Dr. Fiske had trouble listening to their heartbeats because they wouldn't stop purring!). Their rates are extremely reasonable and it's very clear that the entire staff cares deeply for their patients. The doctors and techs always take the time to answer all of my questions, and I've never felt rushed out at the end of an appointment. I trust this practice and will continue to bring all my pets here for as long as I live in the area!
I found Holmes Family Veterinary Clinic while looking for an exotic veterinarian for my bunny, Cleo. I was so impressed with the care that Dr Holmes and her staff gave to Cleo, that I decided to bring my cats there as well. I feel that Dr Holmes, Dr Fiske, and the vet techs treat my animals as if they were their own. They spend as much time with us as needed, answer all of my questions, and never rush the appointments. They are more like "family" than a veterinary office. I am thankful to have found this clinic!
I get a voicemail the day before the appointment stating that they could no longer find the vaccination. They had looked everywhere but could not find it. I call the next morning to find out when to expect the new delivery and am told that an order was never placed (after being told the week before that it had) and that they were NOT going to reorder this specific vaccination and that I had to find another veterinary.
Never before have I needed a vet until recently but I am extremely glad that I chose Holme's Family Vet Clinic. I received excellent care right from the beginning when the staff went out of their way to take my appointment so close to closing time to make being seen flexible for me. Both Dr. Fiske & Dr. Holmes were very receptive and caring and expressed their honest concern for my rabbit's health issues. I greatly appreciate that the staff took time to go through detailed care and medication instructions, and were responsive in a timely manner with getting back to me via phone. I was also very lucky to have Dr. Holmes take my rabbit off my hands for a day stay and I was reassured and stress free knowing that he would be receiving excellent care. Once again, I am so grateful that I had such an amazing team of people who took such good care of my rabbit and I. I will most definitely be coming back when needed and referring this clinic to others!
To say this office is incompetent is an understatement. One needs to wonder if vaccinations are being misplaced what other aspects of care are being taken for granted.
